Officially contestant since the 24th September for the designation of the Olympic City in 2018, Nice had better be good in its campaign for the city support to the candidacy to become the Olympic City in 2018. Indeed, the candidacy of Nice was quite criticized at the moment of the announce (mainly because of its situation: Nice is rather renowned for its beaches than its slopes!). But Christian Estrosi, the mayor, really believes in the project and organizes many communications campaigns about the candidacy of Nice. The 15th, October, he made a formal presentation of the candidacy of Nice in the Sofitel Hotel of Paris, emphasizing all the city’s trump with an enthusiastic determination.
He paid particular attention to the hotel industry of Nice, the future “Big Stadium” expected for 2016, and the international airport in the city. This airport was besides decorated with the logo’s colors and with eight big posters showing the Olympic Games disciplines. Nice may be the Olympic City in 2018 !
