Your property finder on the French Rivieria told you some days ago about one of the most beautiful French village (see previous post). The gorgeous audiovisual experience that we talk about today takes place in this village, and we judge that this incredible place certainly deserves a dedicated post.
Indeed, you will live in those old quarries an experience that you never find again elsewhere. Since thirty years, the directors of this unusual venue have been inventing new worlds made of special light and sound effects. The walls, floors and ceilings of the quarry are used like giant screens, on which are projected more than 3000 pictures. Each years, this gorgeous audiovisual experience offers you a new show, often dedicated to an artist in particular. Thus, Michel-Ange, Cézanne, Van Gogh and many others have filled this out-of-common space.
This year, the French painting artist Picasso is paid homage: the 2009 show presents the pictorial richness of this extraordinary artist. You will discover the Picasso’s creation on new aspects: the natural screen surfaces are not completely flat, which increases the relief effects and enables you to move around and discover new angles of view and perspectives.
The soundtracks are not outdone: specially written for each production, they are meticulously synchronized with the pictures to strengthen their impact.
Through the years, a lot of prestigious directors contributed to improve the quality of the shows. That’s why this gorgeous audiovisual experience seems today so impressive!
