From 13th February to 4th March, the city of Menton celebrates the world musics organizing the famous Menton’s “Fête du Citron”! Since dozens of years, this coloured and lively festival has been delighting thousands of people coming from all over the world to admire the citrus-laden floats and the Parade of Golden Fruits.

The calendar of events features this year different affairs. We will find again the traditional citrus exhibition: a world tour in citrus! You will trip to all four corners of the world, as rendered by citrus fruits! Don’t miss the inauguration in the Biovès Garden!
The showstopper of the Menton’s “Fête du Citron” is, of course, the Parade of Golden Fruits! Joy shining on the face, wonderment in the eyes, confetti twirling in the blue sky, and the sound of traditional drums to accompany fanfares and sumptuous citrus laden floats parading in the streets: a multicoloured festival under the sun!
And when the night has fall, the party is in full swing! Fanfares, orchestras, drums and trumpets have a ball playing in the street going on the procession of floats made of oranges and lemons…
And after 8h30 p.m. you can admire the Biovès garden’s illuminated motifs: strange musics, bizarre creature made of lights, you’re transported to an other world, a magical world worthy of the most beautiful fairy tales.
The Menton’s “Fête du Citron” is expressly advised if you want to escape for some days from your grey everyday life… you will get your fill of colours for one year, until the next exhibition!
