From October in Monaco, the port will welcome a new club called the Black Legend. Buy a house in Monaco close to the club, you will have easy access!
This is private club that will open from noon till late at night with a bar, a restaurant, a stage and a dance floor. This new club is owned by the group Floirat, also at the head of the famous hotel in Saint Tropez, the Byblos.
The new casino in Cagnes Sur Mer
In terms of real estate and French riviera, a new project is going to birth in Cagnes Sur Mer. This is an investment of 30 million euros from Georges Tranchant, the owner of the group.
The owner does not fear the economic situation!
The competitors of this casino group have their casinos on the sea front. This new casino will be implemented in the north of the city. Is this a risk? Georges Tranchant believes that being on the sea front is not the good way as there is a national road just near, people cannot stop or park. “We have a better location, we can reach the casino by motorway with a car parking”…even if tourists are on the sea front…
Soon there would be a new tramway in Nice. It is all a debate there.
First of all, where the line should be implemented? On the famous Promenade des Anglais or in the centre.

According to MP and mayor of the city, Christian Estrosi, the second tramline of the city should cross the Promenade des Anglais, the city will prosper and it is a way to struggle against pollution. The works will last only six months; it won’t be a nuisance for the residents. This would also be an embellish method of the Prom’. The Prom will be cleaner, greener, and calmer. Finally, the construction of a tramline even if it is an expensive project will allocate employment which is not bad at all!

The route of the new TGV line Paris-Nice provokes stormy debates inside the political circle before it even been definitely decided!
Out of the three defined routes of the beginning, two were selected:
- the first one links up Aix to Nice going along the motorway.
- the second one serves Marseille and Toulon to finally join Nice.
And the partisans of the two routes have been clashing for months to have the last word. As long as they risked their election, the three UMP mayors of the French Riviera, Jean-Claude Gaudin (Marseille), Hubert Falcon (Toulon) and Christian Estrosi (Nice), were coming out for the first route. But from June, Christian Estrosi has been changing his mind and has been coming round for the second one. Of course, Jean-Claude Gaudin doesn’t agree with him, supported by the trade union of the department. Their main argument: economically, Marseille and Toulon, the main economical areas, can’t go without this TGV line Paris-Nice. To ignore those areas would be, according to their own words, a “Parisian contempt”.

The mayor of Nice Christian Estrosi, as President of the CANCA (“Communauté d’Agglomération Nice-Côte d’Azur”), announced some months ago the project of the second tramway line in Nice. This line would be include a network of six km, crossing the city in the east/west way, and would start at the “Place Massena” to serve the airport, the “quartier des Moulins”, and have its terminus in Cagnes-sur-Mer. Since then, many routes have been imagined, but according to Estrosi, only one has held his attention. The route that seduced the mayor goes along the famous “Promenade des Anglais” on its entire length.
Still according to Christian Estrosi, this choice is caused by several reasons:
Those beautiful Russian churches on the French Riviera are the relics of a real love story between the Slav people of the 19th century and the South of France. The liking of the Imperial Family for this French area intrigued the Russian population and many of the wealthiest Russian family came to set in it.
During one of her stay in Nice, the tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna would build an orthodox church to pray: the first Russian church on the French Riviera was born.
In view of the fact that the Russian population was growing up on the French Riviera, many other constructions followed, especially the famous Saint-Michel Church in Cannes.
When the tsar’s son Nicholas died of meningitis in the Villa Bermond of Nice, his father bought this villa to build on it a commemorative chapel in his memory. This chapel is the biggest orthodox structure outside the Russian borders, replica of St Basile in the Kremlin.

If you are the happy owner of a property on the French Riviera, you have to abide by French laws about swimming pool. Indeed, from January 2003, every owner of a swimming pool must set up a safety system to protect the access to the swimming pool. Many properties on the French Riviera are equipped with a swimming pool. The French laws about swimming pool impact both hotels and private properties.
Be careful, you can’t turn down the French laws about swimming pool, given that you have no children and you don’t welcome any of them in your property on the French Riviera. But if your swimming pool is an inside swimming pool with a door access or if your swimming pool is air filled, you are not concerned by the French laws about swimming pool.
