We have first selected many properties and speak with owners. None of them rent their properties for any events. Usually it’s becausethey didn’t think about it before our conversation. Often, they fear the consequences of welcoming events in their property.
We explained to each owner that our mission is to find the best property for our clients, but also to develop long term relationships with owners. So, our goal is to clearly define with every owner what they allow and what they do not allow in their property.
That’s the reason why we want to visit every property we selected. That’s the second step in our home management for events industry. Given the fact that we have very various demands from our clients : private or corporate events, few or numerous guests, one night or one week…, we need to visit all the properties to define the best ones for each demand.

One and a half year ago, we spoke to you about the most expensive villa into the world, the villa Leopolda, situated to St Jean Cap Ferrat. At this period of time, a Russian billionaire had undertaken to acquire it for the moderate 370 million euro sum to which were added 19.5 millions for furniture. Then, in front of media noise (generally the Russians do not like too much that people know about their deals !) and as a result of the world economic and financial crisis, the buyer retracted, wanting to get back the 39 million euro paid as guarantee. From this moment, the sale was frozen and a trial began!

And the result is : the most expensive villa into the world and her current owner gained this trial and kept the sum of 39 millions, more 1.5 million euro of interest ! It remains to be seen whether the villa Leopolda will again be put on sale and keep its title of the most expensive villa into the world! While waiting for the owner’s answer who realized an interesting financial transaction, she announced that she would put back the sums announced in charitable works! The most expensive villa into the world will thus make happy the most deprived. That’s good news thanks to Villa Leopolda !

We haven’t been writing on this blog since May 2009 ! Now we’re back with a very brilliant idea : how to earn money with your property in the south of France ? As you may know, I am a famous event planner in France. I am working for companies and for private events. Of course, I am living between Paris and the French Riviera, seeing my clients in Paris and planning their events in the south of France.

What I see is that there are not so many venues to plan weddings, corporate events or to welcome film production. This is always the same place, with the same decoration and above all the same price …Believe, the minimum price is 4000€ for a day or a week-end up to 18000€ (for a night !). It would have been another good opportunity to buy a property in Nice ! Unfortunately, Nice lost the Olympic Games for 2018. Indeed 4 French cities were candidates to represent France in the global competition for Olympic Games in 2018. Annecy has been choosen yesterday. Anyway since the beginning, Nice was the outsider to run for the Olympic Games in 2018.

That’s true that Nice is worlwide known thanks to its climate, its beaches and the mediteranean sea. But there are also many moutains in Nice : the Southern Alps. The mayor of the city insisted during all the competition on the wondeful climate and the amount of snow you can find on the first ski stations. Given the fact that the financial crisis is spreading worldwide, many investors are wondering if it’s time to invest in the French real estate market. Indeed prices on the French real estate market had been highly increasing since 2002. The growth was exponential in many areas : + 110% in some districts in Paris for instance. Although prices are still high in Paris, the French real estate market begins to change drastically. Indeed, in many regions, prices are falling. That’s why many investors are wondering what to do about French real estate market. Is that a good time to invest in the French real estate market ?
The answer is YES but WAIT ! As a property finder on the French Riviera, my job is to advise my clients to choose the right property at the right price. Given the fact that it’s just the beginning of the downward trend on the French real estate market, it’s better to wait until the end of the year. Anyway, some cities are already good opportunities to invest in. Marseille or Nice for instance are suffering from this downward trend on the French real estate market.

Nice is candidate to welcome the Olympic Games in 2018. Indeed, 3 cities in France present their candidature to the winter Olympic Games in 2018. In March 2009, France will decide between the 3 cities which one will represent France for organising the Olympic Games in 2018. At the first glance, choosing Nice to welcome the Olympic Games in 2018 can be tricky. But, there are many advantages to choose Nice to welcome the Olympic Games in 2018.

First, sometimes it snows in Nice (see pic) !! Secondly, the Nice airport is the second airport in France after Paris. So, Nice can welcome thousand and thousand people per day. Thirdly choosing Nice to welcome the Olympic Games in 2018 is a right idea, given the fact there’s already a lot of hotels between Monaco and Cannes and many restaurants, congress rooms and sports equipment.
