Indeed, Cannes shopping, these two words fit interestingly one to another. In the category of shopping this is the city of Cannes who wins the Palm this year before Nice, Monte Carlo and Saint Tropez in the PACA region!

Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille and Toulouse were competing to be capital of culture 2013…and the winner is Marseille chosen unanimously by the jury. Marseille will represent its region PACA but also France at the European level.
The honours are to be shared with the Slovakian town of Košice.
The Mayor of Marseille, Jean-Claude Gaudin, was pleased by the success of the Marseille Provence 2013 project, which involves 130 communes from nine urban communities gathering together over 2.2 million inhabitants.

This is thanks to Melina Mercouri who was the Greek Minister of Culture in 1985. Her aim was to make all Europeans meet and share together. So, each year Europeans focus on two cities who have the opportunity and the visibility required to show their culture, their heritage.
Why this nomination should be granted to Marseille? This is time for Marseille to renew its image of a dirty poor city!
It would have been another good opportunity to buy a property in Nice ! Unfortunately, Nice lost the Olympic Games for 2018. Indeed 4 French cities were candidates to represent France in the global competition for Olympic Games in 2018. Annecy has been choosen yesterday. Anyway since the beginning, Nice was the outsider to run for the Olympic Games in 2018.
That’s true that Nice is worlwide known thanks to its climate, its beaches and the mediteranean sea. But there are also many moutains in Nice : the Southern Alps. The mayor of the city insisted during all the competition on the wondeful climate and the amount of snow you can find on the first ski stations. As a housing purchase is a decision that must be worth considering, some developers are getting involved in rent-to-buy schemes to sell more easily their housings. But how works such an agreement?
It’s easy to understand: the rent-to-buy schemes simply give you the opportunity to “try” the housing by renting it during a given period of time, with the possibility to buy it if you are convinced! In other words, you can buy the house in which you’re living in on any date from the moment you began to rent it. Generally, this period is inclusive of six months to three years from the date you began to rent the housing. You also have the option to buy it after a period of time that is fixed since the beginning of the rental. But at the end of this period of time, it’s for you to decide, you’re free to say yes or no; indeed, you have not the obligation to buy the housing at the end of the agreed period.
